On PCOS and pregnancy

This post is going to take a while to finish. I'm posting notes as I come across with them. I'm not a mom, I have never been pregnant and I'm not currently trying to conceive (ttc). I don't know what has worked or not- I'm throwing out on one page.

VITAMIN B

METFORMIN
DOES NOT PREVENT MISCARRAIGES!!!!!
"The rates of first-trimester pregnancy loss did not differ significantly among the groups. However, the conception rate among subjects who ovulated was significantly lower in the metformin group (21.7%) than in either the clomiphene group (39.5%, P=0.002) or the combination-therapy group (46.0%, P<0.001)."

CLOMID

AROMATASE INHIBITORS
anastrozole and letrozole. They prevent peripheral aromatisation of androgens to oestrogens. It works by withdrawal of the oestrogen stimulus to endometriosis and is usually prescribed in conjunction with GnRH analogues.

ENDOMETRIN
What is Endometrin
Endometrin (progesterone vaginal insert) is a specially formulated vaginal tablet that contains the female hormone progesterone, which is one of the hormones essential for preparation of the uterus for implantation and maintenance of a pregnancy. Once the tablet is inserted into the vagina, it quickly dissolves and is available to be absorbed into the circulation to be taken to the uterus.
